Certification for Italian Scientific Diver

If your certification is more than 5 years old and you want to renew it, after joining AIOSS, you must apply by attaching all the required documents and paying the secretarial fees. The renewal will be valid for 5 years. A new certification is needed to upgrade to the next level.

This service is reserved for members in good standing for the current year. If you have not yet renewed your membership, fall it before proceeding with the renewal application by providing your previous certification information:

After completing and submitting the application, remember to pay the secretarial fees.

List of documents to attach:

• ID card or passport (PDF, max 1 MB)
• Photo identification (PDF, JPG, TIFF, max 1 MB)
• Personal diving log. This must clearly demonstrate a minimum of 12 dives in the past 12 months, of which at least 6 with professional scientific duties (single PDF file or in common digital dive logbook formats, max 10 MB)
• Updated version of any expired documents included in the previous evaluation (e.g., diving licenses, first aid certificate, oxygen provider statement, boating license) and certificates of any refresher courses. Please upload a single file (PDF, max 10 MB).

The paperwork for the issuance and five-year renewal of certifications for ITALIAN SCIENTIFIC DIVER (ITESD) and ADVANCED ITALIAN SCIENTIFIC DIVER (ITAESD) requires the payment of secretarial fees, which amount to €50.00.
